Blocking spam on AOL mail
Anti Spam Control review &
download for users :
Blocking spam functions
on AOL: these settings brought a
solution with a decent spam control
service and software tutorial
with help files. For spam
filters in AOL settings, there are
instructions. In order to prevent spam,
click on the spam control tabs.
Open the spam control for emails and
adjust settings on the blacklist
feature. Pop spam is there to stay, and
we will only be able to stop spam by
learning more about how to block it by
using the spam filters on aolmail. Both
smtp spam and pop3 spam are to be
reported to blacklist for spam, by the
AOL spam controls service. The AOL
customer support helpdesk is available
with a support contract. In section
1, 2 and 5 is explained how to set the
aol spam filters for spam blocking.
There is also a link to customer support
for any questions and answers. In
AOL 8.0, type any comments you have in
the Optional Comments box, then click
either the Send Report or the Send and
Block button. The Send Report button
will send a spam report to AOL, but will
not block the e-mail address from
sending you more spam. The Send and
Block spam option will both send the
report and automatically block the
e-mail address.
In all versions of AOL 9.0, clicking the
Report Spam button automatically reports
and blocks the spam at the same time.
When using AOLŪ Mail on the Web at
AOL.com you can also use the Report Spam
button to automatically report and block
spam. Choose from the options :
Sender Filter
Custom Sender List
Blocked Mail Settings
Content Filter
Words and Phrases Filter
Mail Settings Save Options
Spam Folder Settings
The Advanced Spam Filtering
feature will automatically move junk
e-mail and unwanted e-mail into your
Spam folder. This process is simple,
automatic, and personalized based on how
you use e-mail. There are 4 levels of
protection you can choose from. The
default recommended setting is Medium.
